Workshop Title: Fabulous Fabric Hats with all the Trimmings
Duration of Workshop: 4 – 5 days
Workshop summary
Make your own fabulous fabric hats using traditional millinery techniques. Participants learn how to draft patterns, choose fabrics, linings, interfacings and construct fabric hats that not only look great but fit perfectly. Part of this course will be devoted to trimmings and the wonderful effects that can be achieved using ribbons, fabrics, feathers, veiling and more. From silk fabric and ribbon roses and bows to curling and cutting feathers into shape, participants will be encouraged to experiment with combinations that can be used not only for their fabulous hats but for clothing, bags and even footwear.
Participants
All levels of experience welcome in this class, however basic machine sewing skills needed.
