Workshop Title: Working with felt and straw

Workshop summary
In this workshop participants are shown the skills for blocking - the shaping of felt or straw using traditional wood hat blocks and steam. Students block and trim, both a felt and straw hat and develop styles and techniques for the trimming and embellishment of the hats they are creating.
Participants
Suitable for Secondary school students and adults.
All levels of experience welcome in this class, however basic machine sewing skills needed.
